<Hi

Winter has started to hit in London this week, with temperatures dipping and winds biting.  Luckily the London Salsa scene is back in full swing and is sure to keep you warm. And of course www.LondonSalsa.co.uk is your prime source of information on drop-in classes, courses, workshops, parties, band nights, weekends and anything salsa related in and around the capital.

Our 2019 Dance Survey "Dance and Me" really is just 9 questions about dance and you.

Please take 30 seconds to complete, as we are keen to learn about your dance habits which will help us to work out how to entice more people to dance more often for better health and fun.

As with all months, the salsa scene is vibrant, with more and more opportunities to learn, meet new people and visit some wonderful venues. We try to give you a highlighted snapshot but remind you that there is so much more on Londonsalsa.co.uk as well as the Global Dance card app.

And if you fancy a slightly different challenge, why not try bachata, kizomba, rueda or even swap Cuban for crossbody or vice versa. We know that beginners will find the terminology somewhat strange, so the advice is to find somewhere that you fit in and are having fun whilst learning.

Friday night is always a good place to start the weekend (duh, he says editing himself) :
In Putney there are lessons for all levels in salsa that follow a free bachata session - the dance floor swells for the social dancing.

Niko Valiente & Marisa Cano will be guest teaching 2 hours of L.A Salsa (Crossbody) for Intermediate & Advanced levels in Kingston on Friday - quote Londonsalsa for a £2 discount.

Kingston salsa.

(and you get to repeat the course for free as well).

Want to learn with Gil and Shelley, then Northfields on Tuesday may be a good option.

At Bar Salsa Temple, there is a free intro to dance session at 7pm that is followed by lessons at all levels in salsa and bachata, culminating with social dancing till 2am.

Bar Salsa Temple
Metrolatina at Bar Salsa in Charing Cross is on every Wednesday with Latin Collective, whilst Incognito run lessons and a social in Hammersmith. From Finsbury Park to Bounds Green and onwards, you can enjoy special offers on lessons and courses.

Now imagine what it is like when people from all over London and the UK join together for the monthly El Grande in Kings Cross, where over 1000 dancers regularly to enjoy 4 rooms of salsa, kizomba, and bachata - that is for Friday 18th.

I can hear you screaming "Enough already- We get it, there is salsa every day all over London and I need to grab a couple of friends and just do a marathon filled with smiles".
OK that last bit is a bit much but if the dance is starting to seep into your very being, then you have discovered the joy.

Have a good week of dancing,

Leigh and the LondonSalsa Team
