This bank holday, Carnival, weekend promises to include days of sunshine and nights of parties and workshops;  there is going to be a lot of exhausted dancers looking to chill out on Tuesday.

London enjoys many visitors this month, who join our thriving throng on the dance floor. I don't have to remind you, but will, that part of the recipe that makes salsa so addictive, is that anyone can invite anyone to share a dance to any track. So this week, salseros and salseras, I encourage you to dance with a stranger.

The London LatinFest 2019 launch party for Bank Holiday weekend is this Friday in High Holborn with a salsa/bachata themed late night lesson/party featuring top international teachers and performers. Quote this site or show your Global Dance Card app for a £5 discount.

Friday night in Putney is a mixture of salsa and bachata lessons followed by a social dance.

London LatinFest continues on Saturday, with a 4-roomed all day blow out that includes a full day of  workshops in XBody Salsa On1 & On2 , Cha cha, Afrocuban, Ladies & Mens Styling, Sensual Bachata, Bachata Fusion & Dominicana, Brazilian Zouk, Neo Zouk & Rio Zouk.

All this delivered by top international teachers and artistes at The Vault on The Strand from 11am on Satrday till 3am Sunday.

For dancing al fresco fans, this Sunday Rueda in the Park is in Bayswater.  Or of course there is there is the carnival

The Salsa Secrets party is in Enfield on Bank Holiday Sunday.

NB SOS is not open this Sunday. 

I wouldn't want to point you in the direction of lessons that may be shut for the bank holiday Monday but for certain, FEST in Camden is open for lessons from 5-6pm with social dancing to top DJs till late.

If you have friends who deserve the joy of dance in their lives, then please point them to the 100s of lessons that can be found throughout London and the outskirts. Whether they are looking to shed a couple of lbs, put on whilst on holiday, or because salsa is a good way to make new friends, just point them towards the site.

For Tuesday bachata lessons and party in Temple start at 7pm with a free intro to dance session..

There is a free first timer beginners lesson in Hammersmith on Wednesday, along with multiple levels and a social.

Derrick Bernard's Encantado has moved to The Corner Flag in North London offering all level Wednesday Cuban and Crossbody style lessons, with the customary London Salsa special offer 

Once a month Pexava take over Conway Hall in Holborn for an after-work social. Thursday 29th needs to be in your diary.

In Paddington, Caramelo host the Saturday 31st workshops aimed at beginners and improvers, where you can learn salsa in a day or bachata in a day.

September starts with a Sunday of dancing in Broomfield Park in Palmers Green, with host, Heather of Salsatricity.

Of course there are 100s of lessons, the start of September courses and a host of events throughout September, so plenty to look forward to. Go one step further, book an early bird ticket, quoting London Salsa at most of the venues and you will gain the best value and thus be able to dance more often.

The Luxury Latin Dance and Fitness Retreat in France on the Cote d'Azur is on 10-13th October.
