It has been so easy to sit and watch the football, get emerged in landslide victories or use the weather as an excuse not to go out.

Today, I'm urging you to think more about yourself, your physical and mental health.
Dancing, whether taking lessons or letting your hair down at a social, will work lots of muscles, including your smile ones.

Nothing starts a weekend off better than a lesson followed by social dancing till late.
In Balham, there is such a salsa event that happens on the first Friday of each month.

Bailando Fridays in Cambridge is the longest and biggest weekly salsa dance night in Cambridge.
Always a full house with dancers coming from all over. 

For Saturday night, the team have picked a Ballroom, Latin American & Popular Sequence Dance night at Colehill Village Hall near Wimborne. 

Many Sundays, including this one, you are invited to take your first salsa steps with Salsa Rapido at Bar Salsa in Soho with Streetbeat, whose aim is to combine clear communication, fun and psychology so you not only know the ‘how ‘ of salsa but the ‘why’.

On Sunday there is a live salsa band in Richmond along with salsa and bachata performances.

Every evening, across the UK, lessons in dance take place in halls, bars and community centres, including Bar Salsa, Temple with Latin Collective each Monday.

Each Tuesday SalsaMotion offer lessons and a social in Lewisham.

Each Wednesday in Leamington Spa lessons are followed by a salsa social.

I promised a mention for the evening of ballroom social dancing every Wednesday at The Fircones in Birmingham. Classes and private lessons are available.

Looking into the future :

On Friday 12th, DJ Hughie features in Stratford for the Salsa Vida party.

Also on Friday 12th, in Dudley, there is a slsa, bachata and kizomba party.

On Saturday 13th Vali offers a night of dance in Chilworth.

The Islington Saturday salsa matinee is also on 13th.

A brand new monthly salsa party night starts on Sunday 14th July in Cheam - La Noche!  

Later in the month, on Saturday 27th, salsa visits Guildford with Rumberismo.

August 18th is the final Thames Salsa Cruise  of 2024.
Four hours of dancing and fun; what a great way to spend a summer evening!
Departs Festival Pier by the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank at 6.45pm, returning at 10.50pm.

The final Bank Holiday of the year brings Scalalatina, an all-nighter in Kings Cross,  as part of the London Latinfest weekender on 24th.
